2021 Pilot

The 2021 CR-V comes in four available trims: LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Thanks to the refresh of the outgoing model, the SUV now has a new bumper and blackout grille on the front as well as larger openings for the fog lights. It comes standard with 18-inch wheels, but the upper trims include 19-inch ones.

Even though the CR-V only has one engine option, it's a powerful one. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque.

The standard continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) provides a smooth and refined ride. It also comes standard with front-wheel drive, but you can opt for all-wheel drive. The SUV prioritizes a comfortable driving experience over lively handling, which is evident through its compliant suspension that absorbs the bumps on the road and provides passengers with a quiet cabin. Its responsive brakes and composed handling should give you confidence when driving, despite rough terrain or inclement weather. The SUV can also tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds.

With room for five people across two rows of seats, the 2021 CR-V has comfortable front seats that provide plenty of support. The second row boasts more than 40 inches of legroom, allowing rear-seat passengers enough room to travel comfortably.

Not only does the CR-V have plenty of space for passengers, but the cargo area is one of the largest in its class. Behind its second row of seats, you get 39.2 cubic feet of space. If you fold down these 60/40-split rear seats with the simple pull of a lever, this space increases to 75.8 cubic feet. This ample storage rivals many midsize SUVs. This rear cargo area has a two-tier setup that allows you to keep the floor flat or set it lower to keep items secure.

To keep everyone entertained, the base trim includes a 5-inch audio display, Bluetooth, a single USB port, and a four-speaker stereo. Moving up to the EX trim adds a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system paired with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, HD and satellite radio, extra USB ports, and a six-speaker stereo. The top-of-the-line Touring trim includes wireless device charging, satellite-linked navigation, and a nine-speaker stereo.

All 2021 CR-V trims include the Honda Sensing suite of safety systems and driver assists, some of which provide you with forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control. Other trims add blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and rear cross-traffic alert. Also, the CR-V has two complete sets of LATCH connectors used for the rear outboard seats. The rear middle seat has an upper and lower tether, but it can borrow the other anchor from the other lower anchor found on the driver's side.
