Trim Levels (Exterior)
After discontinuing the EX trim and introducing the Sport Special Edition for the 2021 model year, Honda still has five trims for the Accord. These trims include the following: LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX-L, and Touring. All trims except the base one receive new LED high- and low-beam headlights for improved illumination.
Engine (Power)
No matter which of the two engines your 2021 Accord has, the vehicle has plenty of power to help you navigate through almost any type of driving situation. The base 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Sport trim, but available on the Touring, is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that gets 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Honda dropped the manual transmission option for the 2021 model year. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is paired with the base engine, while a 10-speed automatic transmission comes with the larger engine. Front-wheel drive is also standard.
Interior
Seating five people comfortably, the 2021 Honda Accord has two rows of spacious seats, which is more than most midsize sedans do. It also has one of the best interiors in its class, with stylish and high-quality materials found even in the lower trims. To help you transport items, the Accord boasts one of the largest trunks in its class. You have 16.7 cubic feet to work with, which translates to about a dozen shopping bags.
The Accord doesn't disappoint when it comes to technology. Its standard 8-inch display responds quickly to inputs and is easy to see from the driver's seat. You can also operate the climate and audio settings via physical controls. The sedan also comes standard with four speakers, two USB ports, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Sport trim adds two more USB ports and an eight-speaker stereo, while the EX-L trim includes HD and satellite radio, wireless device charging, and a 10-speaker stereo.

Safety Features
With almost a dozen standard safety features included, the 2021 Honda Accord puts the safety of you and your passengers first. Some of these features are part of Honda's Sensing suite of advanced safety technology and include driver drowsiness monitoring, road departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Available upgrades include front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and a head-up display.
In addition to these features, the Accord has two complete sets of LATCH connectors that are part of the rear outboard seats. The rear middle seat has a single tether anchor, and it can borrow a lower anchor from each side. Due to the Accord's impressive safety features, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the sedan a perfect overall safety rating, as well as for frontal, crash, and rollover tests.
